Exams are coming. They are just around the corner and I’m almost reaching the bend of the road. Hence, study = restlessness. To kill the restlessness, I blog-hop.

Random note: the list of Nuffnang winners include Kennysia, Xia Xue and Joanne Peh’s blog. And I read their blogs, not religiously, just occasionally when boredom kicks in. I can’t help but think why do blog readers love to read blogs that talk about things like that? Don’t get me wrong, they are entertaining to read. ENTERTAINING. Full of lame jokes, commercials, fashion, la di dums… but NOT much thoughts.
Joanne Peh, the winner for best celebrity blog. She blogs about travelling, fashion, what she does, what she buys, what she sees. From my POV, its what she sees on the surface and not anything further. Have you tried reading Elvin Ng’s blog? Or Jeanette Aw for that matter. Elvin Ng might be the stiffest and unnatural actor that you might meet, but I don’t see him as an actor when I read his blog.
Life is unfair. Let’s face it. I no longer insist that the world should be fair and just and equal. My world view has changed. Life is fair only when you recognise that it is unfair and accept that it is unfair. (Elvin Ng)
we just need to pull ourselves out of everything to understand normalcy..
but it comes a point in time when you need to just break it.. break boundaries.. do something you've never imagined you would.. that's where i'm heading.. i hope.. (Jeanette Aw)
Kennysia and Xia Xue, winners of certain blog categories. I like how witty and funny Kenny Sia is. And I enjoy reading his blog. But what it is lacking is a bit of depth. Xia Xue… I don’t think explanation is needed here. I can just sum up her blog in a 3 words: plastic, Plastic, PLASTIC. Have you tried reading Marcky? I accidentally discovered his blog through facebook. He is witty, just like Kenny Sia. But the difference is, his posts reflects upon life so much more. . One of my favourite post of his is entitled ‘Dancing in the Rain’.
We seek the sunshine, but down comes the rain. We sit in our shelters, hoping for the sun to shine again. We think the sunshine will bring us happiness. We waste our lives waiting for the sun to shine, when we really should be going out and dancing in the rain. (Marcky)
Maybe I’m bias. I love reading posts where there are some meaning to it. I love reading posts which I can relate to. I love reading posts that stimulate my thinking. I love posts that are simply… poetic and beautifully written.
All those entertainment blogs are fun. But like I said, lacks depth. Ah… wth, I’m just a 40 yr old woman who is trapped in a 20/21 yr old body. I have weird, old-ish preferences for stuff that reflects upon life. Blogs like Kennysia, Xia Xue and others are just what those ‘kids’ prefer and I have nothing against them. I read them once in a while, but I just don’t find it inspirational. And I do not know why SOOOOOOO many people are flocking to their blogs when there are other blogs with thoughts… proper thoughts. Ok, maybe I do. But, erm, … Forget about it. I just like those other type of blogs. DON’T JUDGE! =P. I’m old, I know, you don’t need to rub it in!! Haha
